Still Life

This will be the section where I will include some of my favorite photos. Given half a chance I have an expressive face. Photo taking is so a part of today, I have always been shy of it. Nevertheless, here are some ones I particularly enjoyed for some reason or another. Some just tell the story and others will be elaborated on.This first one is taken backstage at my debut at Caracalla in 1988, the immense outdoor theater of great history in Rome, wearing the costumes from the 1913 Aida.aida-caracalla-much-copymaller.jpgThis was a super evening filled with more drama than it should have had. My very first performance in Los Angeles at the Scottish Rite Auditorium in 1980. This is after the aria from Wagner’s “Lohengrin” and the one below is the first act aria from Verdi’s “Macbeth”…..millo-flagstad-scotish-rite-much-smallercopyjpg.jpg“Nel di della vittoria……”millo-scottish-rite-much-copysmall.jpgand then shot from backstage by Jim Heffernan, a shot of my debut night, December 3rd, 1984 .simon-debut-night-copysmaller.jpgand late 1986-early-millo-g-tallone-fotosmaller.jpg  luisa-green-dress-roma-smallercopy.jpg

When you’re runnin’ baby
You can’t let go
Life’s on the line
When you’re runnin’, runnin’, runnin’
>From a, cold cold world
Voices they cry
Somewhere there’s hope
(Somewhere there’s hope)
Somebody please (Somebody please)
Somewhere there’s hope, waitin’ there, waitin’ there
Oo the wheels of fear
Turn truth into lies
Like a thief in the night
Hold on, through the smoke
And through the fire
No-one, can hide
Cause somewhere there’s hope (somewhere there’s hope)
Somebody please (somebody please)
Somewhere there’s hope, waitin’ there, waitin’ there
Somewhere there’s hope,
(Somewhere there’s hope)
Somebody please (somebody please)
Waitin’ there, waitin’ there
Somewhere there’s hope
(Somewhere there’s hope)
Somebody please (somebody please)
Somewhere’s there’s hope, waitin’ there, waitin’ there
They cry, voices they cry
Somewhere there’s hope, somebody please
