Glamour done right…and oops!
Two excerpts that really speak to something done really, really well. Gorgeous clip with Tony Martin singing to the “Ziegfield Girls” of Hollywood, “You Stepped Out of a Dream!”
They sure did, a stunningly beautiful if slightly awkward Hedy Lamarr, a young and attractive Judy Garland, a perfectly divine young Lana Turner.
These ladies knew how to carry themselves so beautifully. Today in a land of pantalones may I suggest woman do not.
This is haute Hollywood glamour. OF COURSE, it is over the top but I so love it!
and my favorite Golden girl, and good friend, God bless her, Ginger Rogers with her considerable charm and beauty in a clip form “Gold Diggers of 1933” “We’re in the Money!!”
John Boles and Bebe Daniels “Your always in My Arms” a 1929 “Ziegfield—-Supervised” (?) musical number…..
seems like a mix of sets and concepts, Wild West and Spanish Ladies? …..What were they thinking?
